How I got a nickname....

Whenever I mention my nickname, Froggi, I get asked how I got it. I then ask if they want the short story that isn't true or the long story that is. It's a 50-50 shot which they ask for. You get both.

Jewelry over the years....

Over the years, my jewelry box has changed as have my habits. As a teenager in the 60s, jewelry was kept to a minimum. Maybe some pearls for special occasions, but that was it.

Now in my 70s, I worry less about what others think of me. I'm still me. I haven't changed. Well, except for looking older...

Crosswords & Jigsaws

Growing up, I always envied my mother's skill at crossword puzzles. We got a daily newspaper from Boston (probably the Globe) and she did it every day. She also had the small paperbacks of crosswords and I soon started working them as well. I was a voracious reader by age ten and did pretty well at adult crosswords by age twelve. I haven't done many in the past years and I miss it.
