Day 51 - 100 Day Wool& Challenge

 

Another basic day. Hard to see the colors but my leggings are from Allbirds (love the tummy compression) in a teal that matches my Forcool teal merino socks. My two favorite colors together - burgandy Everett and teal for the rest.

Day 50 - 100 Day Wool& Challenge

 

In honor of making it halfway through the 100 day challenge, I cropped my photo a bit. LOL! Today is simple, Everett over inexpensive but colorful leggings and merino hiking weight socks. Taking a self-care day and vegging on the sofa.

But this photo is way more fun and celebratory on day 50. 

Day 49 - 100 Day Wool& Challenge

 

Simple day with the Everett over my VIV Collection leggings (Amazon), Forcool merino socks (Amazon), and Allbirds Wool Runners (these have little bees embroidered on the side - I got them new on ebay at a bargain price, I suspect they were a custom order that got rejected or maybe part of a company thing).

Late yesterday, I noticed two stains in the front and had no idea where they came from. I tried a diluted Dawn mixture first. Wet the spot with cool water, poured a little Dawn mix on, rubbed a bit, rinsed, and hung to dry. Thanks to being over a heat register, it dried quickly but I could still see a little stain. So I tossed in the washer with Woolite and hung to dry when that was done. By bedtime, it was dry but the stain was still visible (at least to me).

I researched oil stains in the Facebook group, thinking this might have been butter from my veggies the night before), and saw that Ivory was recommended. Having some on hand, I figured, what the heck. So I repeated the wetting, wet the bar of Ivory and rubbed in a bit, rubbed the stain area a little, rinsed, and hung to dry over night.

This morning I held my breath as I checked - VOILA! The stain was completely gone. Phew!
