I have a quirk. A quirk that can be irritating at times. But a necessary quirk.
What is the quirk? I don't like using soup spoons and full-sized forks. When a soup spoon is offered, I ask for a regular spoon. Less spillage.
Forks, I like the salad size forks. Shorter and I'm less apt to stab my lips. Yes, stab my lips!
I guess I have a small mouth? I don't know. But I do know I prefer small spoons and forks.
Do you have any eating utensil quirks?
My quirk isn't so much about the utensils, but it involves the utensils. If a utensil is put on the table, it is dirty. Doesn't matter if it was used or not.
ReplyDeleteThat was my mother's rule, too. And mine with kids in the house. Now that it's just us, I have no problem dropping an unused utensil back in the drawer.
